What can affect the sugar level contained by a urine trial?

I'm about 27 weeks pregnant, and go to the doctor for my routine checkup. I haven't had any prior problems near urine tests, but this time she told me my sugar level were REALLY high-ranking. Is it possible that I could have accidently made the results approximate?

I wasn't able to sleep beforehand taking my urine test, and in actual fact ate a HUGE meal including a hugely sugary dessert, with syrup - call galaktobouriko), and probably took the urine about an hour or two subsequent. I also didn't actually bring it to the doctor for approximately another four hours.

Do you contemplate that could have cause for the dramatic increase in sugar contained by my urine?

I have to dance take the glucose tolerance assessment, but I'm so worried over it now that I don't want to be in motion! (I know, that's a really stupid reason)

Thanks.

Answers:    It is unlikely that you made the test results too illustrious. Chances are you may have what is call gestational diabetes. If that is what you enjoy, you will have to be exceptionally careful next to your diet and exercise while you are pregnant. It should go away once the newborn is born. The link below is from the American Diabetes foundation. It have a lot of fitting information. Please, don't worry yourself. It's obedient that it was caught so that the proper treatment can set off.

The glucose tolerance test is comfortable, but it is time consuming. Take a good book to read. It is done contained by stages, over either 2 or 4 hours.
hmmm, let's see, ALL REFINED SUGAR. You're not supposed to hold any glucose in your urine.

There's not much that you can do to correct the results, as it sounds like you own some glucose intolerance (ie. meaning that your body is not processing the glucose as it usually should) which can occur during pregnancy.

Stay active, guzzle only fruit, veg, low-fat dairy, wholegrain carbs (and not too ample portions) and lean protein. Don't have high-ranking fat or soaring sugar foods. Drink plenty of water.

Good luck beside the pregnancy.
If your body is functioning properly, it should have released ample insulin to deal beside the sugar (no matter how much sugar you've consumed). When you're pregnant, your body will not necessarily cooperate next to you.

Relax. Gestational diabetes is pretty common, and itsn't difficult to control. You'll involve to be careful, and examine your sugar levels contained by the future, but it's really not a big treaty.

Take the test, and follow your specialist's instructions.
alot of women experience what is call gestational diabetes(only during pregnancy) not to worry in the region of glucose test, i am a dabetic and the test are harmless and diabetes can be confidently controlled if caught soon enough. but you may not own any problems after baby is born
