I'm afraid to turn to the doctors.?
I know it's stupid. But it just make me feal really uncomfortable! I hold an appointment today.How can I relax?
Answers: i used to have the worst doctor fright ever! my partner thought i was exaggerating until i took him wiht me and i be sweating and shaking in the waiting room. but in a minute i see a female doctor and shes comparatively nice and im less panicky - i dont see her cuz its intimate stuff but all the men doctors own been alarming. just embezzle deep breaths and remember you are simply another person to them. see a woman purely to feel more comfortable - hope it get better but i empathise compleatly
You know, some people purely get wound up when they travel to the doctor -- there's even a name for it, "White Coat Syndrome". (My father have this; when he goes for a checkup they own to check his blood pressure twice -- once when he first walks within, and then once in the order of 15 minutes later after he's calmed down from his initial low-level "omigod I'm at a DOCTOR'S OFFICE" freakout -- because they kept a moment ago checking it once and getting scared that his heart rate be high, when it be just him anyone scared at first adjectives along.)
As for how to relax -- you know the best way to unmoved yourself down from an unpleasant situation. I would always remind myself that I'm doing something really crucial to take prudence of my body, and that usually calms me down; or I agenda a trip to do something fun right after I go to the doctor (arrange to get together a friend to go shopping when I'm done, or run to see a movie right after).
