Answers:    You were put on Metformin to aid with insulin resistance. Your doctor prescribed it to control your insulin resistance so you don't verbs to overproduce insulin and encourages you to lose counterweight. When you lose weight, your likelihood of getting pregnant increase. Sometimes all it take for women with PCOS to get hold of pregnant is losing weight. Metformin will impose diarrhea, cotton mouth, breast tenderness, or even an increased or decrease libido. But in the long run when your body can finally tolerate it, it will sustain with your insulin.

Metformin isn't a fertility medication but if you lose bulk with it you might finally start have normal period and start to ovulate on your own. If that doesn't help after a few months your doctor will recommend Clomid (it induces ovulation). In the suggest time has your doctor recommended any birth control? I'm finally have normal period. A lot of the times with women beside PCOS have endometrial hyerplasia- where on earth their lining grows and grows which can organize to endometrial cancer. If you aren't having period, request Provera to induce a bleed so your lining doesn't grow too gummy. What happens is that you can turn 6 months without a length and then when it finally comes it can ultimate for a few weeks or a few months- so that's why you'll want to be on BCP to control your hormones that will encourage you to lose shipment, with acne, and testosterone level.

PCOS doesn't have a cure but it can be treated.
i own been aware that i own had pcos for pretty a long time.a couple years ago i saw that metformin was one used for treatment of pcos and went to a latest ob/gyn...(i wasn.t pleased w/my old one, she also told me zilch could be done about it) newayz.have all this trialling done blah blah blah to be 100% of the pcos diagnosis, then i started it..past i would have period every 3-5 months.now i bring them every month like clockwork..i.ve also lost 30 pounds w/out putting any go into it..the metformin helps w/insulin resistance which is one of the symptoms of pcos..the increased insulin circulating through a womans system can result in an increase in "male" hormones and hence cause irregular menstraution/lack of egg release when menstrauting.all right newayz.im all paranoid that im pregnant cuz im unsettled on my period and don.t own any of my symptoms that i get right up to that time i get my time.yesh, it was me human being irresponsible, i shoulda been wise, but after 10years of being infertile..hope im not pregnant...not a hundred percent be pissed.but anways, good luck.. http://pcos.insulitelabs.com/index.php
Reversing PCOS
A great website!!
I enjoy PCOS and I am currently taking MetFormin as well as birth control. When I first be told I had PCOS the doctor put me on MetFormin because it is specified to give you a extent and help you to hold regular cycles. I tried it for a few months and went sour because I didn't feel it did much. I tried another doctor who give me birth control in decree to just draw from a period (because if you aren't shedding your facing once a month, could lead to uteris cancer). That give me my period every month which be good because the as a rule it was once a year. I moved and changed doctors. My contemporary family doctor have plenty experience with PCOS patients. He sent me to a clinic and have my blood taken to see how everything was and saw my sugar rank was a bit large. Now I don't know how familiar you are near PCOS yet but, it can make happen diabetes and obesity. I would definitly recommend MetFormin and/or birth control. Get your sugar tested. The MetFormin is exceptionally important because it usually help so you won't end up near diabetes. It helped me lose mass and my blood sugar level is better. Hope I help, any further questions have a feeling free to ask (been through it all near PCOS). Hi there,
Metformin is really upright for women with PCOS as it help in breaking down complex carbohydrates through insulin which surrounded by turn helps surrounded by maintaining a proper bulk. PCOS patients tend to put on weight smoothly ,which is very difficult to lose due to reduced metabolism. A proper body weightiness along with excersise, glorious protien high roughage diet and medication consisting of metformin and birth control pill (docs prescribe this in some cases, close to mine) can help you a great deal and set you back to track. There is nil to worry give or take a few. Wish you good luck.
If you type surrounded by Metformin in the check out for questions box, here are a lot of resolved question on this that may help you. I am on Metformin for diabetes, but haven't have your problem. Have you ever been prescibed Clomid?
