Period missing for 8 months?

This is the first time i've admitted this outward anywhere so I'm a tad like a cat on hot bricks of responses. I'm 27 and have two children 5 and 7. My husband have vasectomy over 4 years ago, and there's no chance of pregnancy. I've other been regular near periods, up until just now. June of 2007 was my closing menstral cycle. I haven't had one however. I am terrified, and I have it in mind terrified to see a gyno. I'm afraid they'll explain to me i'm stupid for not seeing a doctor right away, and put me down. I'm scared of cancer, cysts or what have you. I've be under alot of mental and touching stress for awhile, but I don't think that would be raison d`??tre for this long of a missing period. I'm nearly 20% over weight for my BMI, but alot of this is my belly where on earth a pregnancy would show. It seems poofy, and no business what I do it won't go away. I'm starting to wonder if this is a result of a missed spell for so long, and if it is..what's going on! Anyone have idea's on what could be going on?

Answers:    i know its concrete but try not to thinnk of it as things like cancer as this dosent other stop your period, my aunt passed away within november of cancer, it started with ovarian cancer and she be still having regular period, i havent had a term since december and i have have 3 negative pregnancy experiment so am a bit worried to go see my gp contained by case something is wrong as cancer and fertility problems run surrounded by my family but approaching every1 tells me its best to go and get it checked out and if ur GP puts u down for not going sooner then he/she is not amazingly professional, explain to him/her about your concerns, it will give support to alot and discuss it with your partner. i know this is hipocritical but please please please step see ur GP this has be to long you really do need some medical comfort. let me know how it go please much love and luck lots of love lisa x
Is it your birth control. Go to the doctor that could be somthing serious See a doctor! What ever they tell you can't be worse than what you're already worrying give or take a few. If you have a problem they can treat it, if you'll get peace of mind.
Are you sure the vasectomy really took?
Did he travel back for a sperm check to see if he is shooting blanks?

If you are extremely influential, that could keep you from have a period.
Ok I know you don't wanna but you really should travel to a doctor and get that checked. It could become really serious and extremly impossible. I know you didn't wanna hear that you should go to the doctor right away but you really own to. It is never a good sign if you own missed your menstration cycle for eight months in a row. So yeah definatly take that checked. i am a worry wart, and this would frighten me as well! the best warning that i can give you is to run to your dr! they are there to HELP you, NOT put you DOWN! they may tender you a slap on the wrist for not coming in sooner, but at least possible they can take a look at what is going on inside of you, and most importantly, consent to you know what is going on with your body!

sway in nearby, go to the dr, and obedient luck!
Did your husband have 2 distrustful "sperm checks" after his vasectomy? If not, he may still be able to impregnate you. If he be checked out a-ok and the procedure was a nouns, you must go to the doctor. Putting it stale can only manufacture it worse if it is something serious. Go now and honourable luck!!
