Does birthcontrol really work for acne?

I want to try it because I have acne and nil works.

I have have my period for nearly 8 months. Do you have to dawdle a certian period of time after have it or can I take it?

Are their side effects? What type works best? I'm 14 is it still okay? Thanks.

Answers:    Yes, it can give a hand. It won't work the same for everyone, and different pills can hold different effects, so it's not guaranteed. And there are profoundly of other factors that can still inflict acne (poor diet, cleasening the face too little or too much, etc), so don't depend on this to solve everything.

But yes, it made a big difference to my acne. Try Ortho Tri-Cyclean (regular or Lo version). You'll requirement to talk next to your doctor, but it should be fine to start taking it now.
wow i hope u dont progress to that extreme, it might prevent u from growing all together...u dont want to be a 30 year matured midget if u dont hvae to You shouldn't take the pill freshly for acne. It doesn't work for acne anyway.

Better to go to a dermatologist to draw from topical medicine that will work better lacking any side effects that can hurt you later.
One of the side effects of birth control can be clearer skin, but it's definately not a confidence. Some people find their acne worsens beside birth control. There's no way of recitation how your body will react to hormones. There are other prescriptions that you can run that don't have such a drastic effect on your body, and are designed to clear up acne. Go to a dermatologist and carry something prescribed for you. When I was your age, I go on an antibiotic (I can't remember the name) that helped. My brother be given an oral antibiotic as well as a topical one because his acne be worse than mine. We both had excellent results. It might cart some trying to find the right medication to help your skin, but you'll find what works for you. Never worked for me

Just made me moody and bitchy

I'm sour it now

Now glove, no love!
i hold taken birth control that has made my skin clear, and afterwards i have taken some that made me break out. you will freshly have to find one that's suitable for you. your dr will know how to most likely afford you the right kind. i started on birth control when i be 14. it really worked for me (the only article that worked, in fact), but I reflect on you are a little bit too childlike to start taking pills. make sure you ask a doctor's feelings
be ready for some possible acne outbreaks right after taking your first couple days of birth control pills...but don't verbs.it should get a ton better. I know because I am a HUGE sufferer from acne (since I be about 10 yrs older.even before puberty hit for me!) and hold been suffering for nearly 10 years. I tried EVERYTHING and nil worked!! So I know how you feel!

As of later February I was put on Tetracycline (after finding out some antibiotics I can't take) and that REALLY cleared up my frontage...but the problem was I have to continually take them and couldn't hold any calcium, iron, etc. within a 2 hr timeframe of taking them. I have to take them surrounded by the morning and at night so that really restricted me on my food intake also. I was also given cream call Differin to put on my face...however I hold a huge problem with it drying out my skin principally in winter so I am cautious as to how I apply it and also use Aloe Vera on my face as I do not break out from it and it's AWESOME on dry/sunburnt skin!

After almost a year on that, my obverse really cleared up a lot. I later decided on birth control for menstrual cramping problems and possible endometriosis. The first 2 prescriptions that I took didn't do anything for my frontage...mainly because I have to be taken off of them ASAP because of serious adverse side effects. My third prescription I be able to purloin for 3 months before I started majorly bleeding between "periods" near heavy robust cramping once again. However, during those 3 months, it REALLY cleared up my face! I be ssooo happy!! I be taken off of the antibiotics because they be giving me random bruising (I thought originally that it be because of my birth control pill...but after about a week of person off of tetracycline, the bruises...and we are chitchat HUGE yellow, blue, purple bruises the size of a quarter/loonie/toonie...started to disperse!).

So then because my third prescription be starting to give me some pretty fruitless problems, I was switched onto Yasmin and begin taking them last month. At the emergence (so within the first 2 weeks) my facade broke out HORRIBLY!! I wanted to cry ssooo much (in reality I did cry!!) because I felt horrible just about my face and adjectives the hard work that I did to clear it up have gone to waste. However, by the third week, adjectives of a sudden my face have cleared.and now I am in the middle through my first week on my second pack of Yasmin and my face is moderately clear still :D

Each person react differently. There is no "best" birth control because everyone reacts to them differently. There are a ton of different side effects to the birth control pill...most of which is newly your body trying to adjust to the different hormones (since the progestin produced in the birth control pills are fake) and different hormone level. Your doctor will prescribe what he/she thinks may be best for you and your body though. Sometimes, it can appropriate 4-5 tries to get the right brand of birth control (as I enjoy now experienced!) and sometimes the first or second try is the right one for you.

I suggest possibly getting a blood indication taken before going onto the birth control pill though. I vote this because of all the problems that I own had relating to such things as blood clots, blood sugar level and other blood related things that the pill can do. I never got my blood taken (in reality, the last time I get my blood taken was when I be first born and I'm 19!) and now that I enjoy experiences ssoo many different problems, I option I had asked my doctor (although from what I know, I didn't enjoy any problems in the first place anyways).
I own them too on ma back... U should also contact dermalogist.
