Teenager thinking around birth control...but for different reason...guidance?
I'm 17 years old. I be overweight all my time until I was going on for 13 or 14 years old, which I turned to anerexia that last almost a year. This was matching time I got my first time of year. However I did "recover," my drinking habits weren't regular until last year(I saw a nutritionist and a therapist). My chest didn't grow as a rule, and my body turned into a pear-shape. I've had abundant irregular periods, digestion problems, and extraordinary pains(not cramps). I JUST recently found out that I hold an huge ovarian csist and was home from arts school for 2 weeks. The pain comes rear legs randomly, so I'm afraid to hold a repeat of that moment. My doctor says that it's any Birth Control or live with the headache... but I'm so scared of a relapse. I know BC can minister to this, along with my chest size, but I mentally couldn't stand it if I gain even a bit of weight. I know it sounds ludicrous, but I'm still not 100% O.K. I need a TRUE person's opinion- not that of a doctor. Please help
Answers: I'm unequivocally no doctor, just a woman trying to lose five pounds (and failing... mmm tempting brownies). I have be on the pill, and yes, I retained water. I'm not anorexic, nor enjoy I ever had an intake disorder, so I'm not going to patronize you by pretending I know how you get the impression. I do know that anorexia is a serious disease and I understand that the thought of purchase weight is hair-raising.
But on the other hand, if you want bigger breasts, that necessarily finances more weight. Also, the pill mode water retention, and that might show up on the extent. On the other hand, smaller quantity physical pain.
To be without blemish honest, I don't know which you should choose. I would choose the birth control, but anorexia isn't scary for me. My inference is that you should try the pill. The nice thing just about it is that you can stop the pill anytime. If you do start freaking out and are afraid that you're relapsing, you can always merely stop taking the pill and any water weightiness it caused you to gain will be in motion away.
take the BC, and if you start fear bad, merely tell your parents and perchance you could go rear to your therapist for more relief. :) Birth control has different effects on everyone. I didn't gain any freight. My roommate actually lost freight. So just don't believe everyone gain weight. . .
I would budge on the pill, especially to help beside the ovarian cist. It helps beside the pain tremendously.
Give the pill a try. Ive be on it for 6 months now to aid with regulating my interval and reducing my cramps and it has help completely... And Ive not gained any immensity! So.. give it a try.. There are heaps different kinds of pills out within. Good luck.
