Is it ok to skip the placebo week of birth control pills so you don't catch a interval?

I take Yasmin and I wondered if it be ok to skip the placebo pills and just start another pack of the pill so I wouldn't carry a period this month. I know that I shouldn't do it plentifully, but I was merely going to do it this month. Or will this screw up my adjectives cycle? or will I have to restart the pill? Let me know!

Answers:    It's possible to prevent your interval with continuous use of any birth control pill. This vehicle skipping the placebo pills and starting right away on a new pack. Some evidence suggests an supremacy to this type of pill regimen. By continuously taking the pill, you prevent hormonal fluctuations that are responsible for bleeding, cramping, headaches and other discomforts associated next to getting your period. However, you're at greater risk of breakthrough bleeding — bleeding between period. Continuous use of your birth control pills works best if you're taking a monophasic pill — with matching hormone dose in the three weeks of moving pills. If you're taking a triphasic pill — with a different hormone dose respectively week of the active pill phase — using them continuously carry a much higher rate of breakthrough bleeding.

You may find continuous use of birth control pills a convenient channel to avoid having your extent during an important point or trip. Taking a monthly regimen birth control pill continuously is fine for about three months, but consequently you should plan on taking the placebo pills so that you'll have a menstrual cycle.
it should be fine. i'm on loestrin24 when i be going to florida, i asked my gyno if i could do that and she said it was fine if i feel comfortable with doing that. so i would enunciate yes its fine to do once and a while, but i would consult with the intruction pack or your doctor. hope this help =]

it WILL skip your period.
Technically it is okay to do it. It won't hurt your body. The extent you get isn't truly a period. The placebo pills are to formulate it feel more pure. Thats why it is alright to take birth control that stops your extent.. like the ones that dont hold a placebo week at all (not sure of any names). If you do skip it, you will most expected spot. Not sure why, but you might. Your best bet is to ask your doctor, or switch the kind of birth control you are on freshly to make sure. Indeed, its impeccably fine. In general, it is recommended to lone skip a couple periods up to that time letting yourself have one. If you want to stop your term longer term, you can look into a couple other types of birth control which will stop your term. I've tried them, and I rather like it. I have also skipped using the method you propose - it works in good health.
I'd talk to my gynecologist around this, frankly, but I do believe that you can skip a period by continuing beside the hormonal intake. Ask your gyn what they think... I am not instinctively familiar next to Yasmin, but I know that that worked with 7/7/7, though be not very dutiful as far as ideas go. It is perfectly fine to. They are zilch more than a reminder to keep taking your pills.
Yes! it is without fault fine and it will not affect you in a unpromising way..
