I'm have cramps but I'm not menstruating?

I've been have mild cramps for the past 24 hours or so but I'm not sure if it is a sign that I'm going to start my interval soon. I know I'm not pregnant. I believe once before I have cramps a day or so earlier my period started but I've also have cramps when my period wasn't in the region of to start ( those cramps only last a few hours at the most). Is this normal?

Answers:    It could be pms cramps. My most recent term I had cramps for 3 days back I actually started. If not, own you possibly taken in more fiber than usual? It could be intestinal cramping.
