Using a tampon. please oblige?

I'm 16 and cannot wrap my head around using a tampon. I newly freak out whenever I try. Is it supposed to hurt so much? When I try to push it in I stop because it really hurts. Am I doing something wrong?

Answers:    Yes, you should stop if it hurts. You may be tear your hymen, which you really don't want to do.

You really don't need to use a tampon if you don't want to. A lot of women prefer to use pad. Either one is a fine option, of late personal preference.

If you really want to try a tampon, try to relax. Use a mirror if essential and follow the instructions and look at the picture that comes inside the tampon box. You should have a small vaginal first to insert the tampon. It does take a short time practice, but you need to be lenient and calm. If it hurts, you're not putting it surrounded by the right spot.

Good Luck!
im 15 and i dont use them yet. If you are still a a virgin, and hold never put anything into your vagina before (not even a finger) afterwards it will hurt to put in a tampon.

Nothing is wrong. Wait a year or two and try again.

Good luck.
relax yourself and rub the sides of your vagina.thats what the manual say i believe. or resort to pads Read the instructions provided within the box of tampons. It will tell you how to insert it and the many positions that might make inserting it easier or more comfortable for you.
stop and use a wipe. First of all what nice of tampon are you using? One with or lacking an applicator. To put it in should not hurt. Perhaps in attendance is just not plenty 'lubrication' to get it surrounded by, in which crust I suggest you stick to a pad until the flow is heavier consequently try again. But yeah, would help to know what characteristics of tampon you are trying to use.
Ur not doing anything wrong it does hurt when u first use it and for a while after but ull get used to it oh and it hurts even more when ur trying to cart it out lol sorry but thats life when i first using tampons I be freaked out too. Make sure that you are using the right tampon. You do not want to use a super if you are having a wispy period. If it feel uncomfortable, than likelihood are you do not have it contained by all the path. Do not worry something like it getting lost in your vagina. That won;t come to pass. If it is hard to take a tampon in nearby try standing or sitting in a different position. It is worth the practice trust me. it is greatly better than pads. Good Luck!
Cardboard ones really hurt
But playtex sports are righteous Relax, if your muscles are tensed it's going to be uncomfortable. Worrying nearly it will just join to the problem. You just may not be equipped to use them.
Ok you have to relax hun!

Relaxing is the most prominent thing.
Just pinch a deep breath, and I find that its much easier to insert them within a standing positon. Stand up, and pretend like you're sitting on a invisible stool, then newly take a wide breath, totally relax yourself down there, and of late insert it slowly.

Also are you using a plastic applicator?? They are sooooo much less uncomfortable, I tried using a cardboard one, and one without an applicator my first time and it hurt really doomed to failure. Plastic applicator and RELAX!
I know it's awkward to teach yourself how to use a tampon, but look at the instructions contained by the box and make sure you're not using anything over a regular (at first). Lean forward rather while sitting down and stick in the applicator at an angle (not staight up and down) partiality more towards your butt.

I'm no professional whatsoever but I hope this helps.
newly relax.
and the one person is wrong...it's not because you are a virgin..i be a virgin at the time when i first used them... first of all try to relax while inserting it... also try buying the night light ones... try tampax pearl... and at first buy the ones for a light extent...my friend had impossible to tell apart problem as you and i used tampax pearls and she tried them and everything worked out...
The reason you cannot receive the tampon is is that your hymen is not yet broken. Your hymen covers the entrance to your vagina, break that the tampon will step in no problems.
