You shouldn't know how to examine your own hymen without a speculum dilating your vagina, so I wouldn't put too much stock within its appearance just near your legs apart. I would say if the menstrual flow is getting out, next your hymen isn't blocking anything to any extent that you need to be concerned. You probably of late need more practice properly inserting a tampon. If you are too taut it can be really hard and sometimes impossible to insert a tampon contained by. Check with your doctor he/she will be capable of tell.
