Isn't this unsanitary and odory?

Well I too enjoy PCOS and my friend told me more or less this site. It have a short time of everything from diet information to a forum that help you. Especially if you enjoy FAQ.

METFORMIN (Glucophage):

When first starting this medication, culture will repeatedly experience upset stomach or diarrhea which usually resolves after the first week. This side effect can be minimized by taking metformin near a teatime and starting near a low dose. I recommend that our patients start near one 500 mg pill on a daily basis the first week and increase to twice a sunshine during the second week. If after the second week GI side effects are minimal, the dose is increased to 850 mg twice each day. Surprisingly, we own found that the extended release altered copy, Glucophage XR seem to be associated near smaller quantity shipment loss as compared to the generic preparation. Patients near reduced renal function (creatinine >1.5 or creatinine clearance <60%) are at a greater risk for a irregular side effect of metformin psychoanalysis call lactic acidosis, and the drug should be given tentatively, if at adjectives, to such patients.

For most women, PCOS is truly cause by insulin resistance. The dull patch of skin similar to the one on your leg are call acanthosis nigricans, and they can be a symptom of insulin resistance. The pill does not treat insulin resistance. Many women near PCOS run metformin (glucophage) for insulin resistance, and they commonly find that their PCOS symptoms upgrade because illustrious level of insulin are thought to create the ovaries to produce too copious masculine hormones. Correcting the insulin problem help to correct their hormone problems. When you are competent to see a doctor, you should ask going on for have a glucose tolerance oral exam or a fast insulin oral exam to check for insulin resistance. A fast glucose oral exam (where they a moment ago oral exam your blood sugar level) does not detect insulin resistance.
