Can skipping a month of birth control delay my period?

I took YAZ for roughly 6-8 months past I have to stop taking it because I run out of deductible on my insurance. My time of year should enjoy come more or less 5-10 days ago. But I'm not sure if my extent didn't come because I stopped taking birth control. I took a pregnancy tryout around a week ago and it come out glum. I might run one again to be sure. But could my integral birth control skipping contribute a missed term?
