Is there any way to "hurry along" your monthly cycle?

I enjoy a doctors appt. on friday, but i started my term on sunday, and they wont do the exam unless my time of year have stopped. since your time of year is the breaking down of the uterus wall, is within any opening to form it stir faster? i know its a crazy cross-question, but if i invalidate my appt, they cant fit me contained by until october!!
