Questions about Blighted Ovums, Empty Sac and D&C?

At six weeks I have an ultrasound and the nurse said that I have an relinquish sac. (This is my first pregnancy). Four days next they programmed a follow-up ultrasound and determined like peas in a pod item. They said that I would "Mis-carry" the sac in the subsequent few weeks. It have be two weeks since that concluding ultrasound but so far zilch have happen. I'm terrified to find a D&C - when is a commonplace time to mis-carry the sac? And anyone who have have a D&C - how bleak does it hurt and what should I expect - I'm scared out of your wits! I own another doctor call on surrounded by a few days but I surface resembling she doesn't want to discuss option and that she's treating me resembling business as usual. This sucks!

Blighted ovums are also specified as H.moles, Hydatidiform moles. They are the result of a sperm fertilizing an hollow (no chromosomes) ovum.
Normally, through meiosis, the cell splits into 4 egg cell next to 23 chromosomes respectively. In unfurnished ovums, one of the sets of chromosomes progress to the other egg, resulting in an egg in need chromosomes and another beside 46. This is not a sporadic phenomenon but it is atypical and unwelcome that the deserted (sometimes the 'full' egg) is fertilized by the sperm. I own perform a D&C on some patients, and vitally the cervix is dilated using progressively larger tubes. Then the uterus is combed through next to a 'spoon'-like instrument. The patients hold not complained of pain/discomfort during the procedure since they are lower than epidural (through the spine) anesthesia. A D&C is the definitive administration for H.moles since a prolonged incubation of H.moles hold desperate effects, it is recommended that it be done sooner than after that. You should call on a doctor you trust so they can explain the process to you in greater detail. You can ask ask friends to recommend an OB-Gyne for you. Good luck.
