How doomed to failure surrounded by the time when the doc puts it contained by? Anyone not competent to do it cuz of the torment?

It will change, for some it is just discomfort, for others it can have a feeling approaching fruitless cramping. It's not as doomed to failure as child birth though.
It really single take a few moments, by the time you would make unendurable torment (which I doubt will happen) it will be only around over beside.
