They found a cluster of microcalcifications. These are outstandingly small (about the size of a particle of sand) deposits of calcium. Your mom will enjoy another type of mammogram, call spot compression magnification view. This will allow the radiologist to see the size, shape and number of calcifications which will oblige determine what type of microcalcifications are present. Even after these superfluous mammographic view, oodles women hold a biopsy. If your mom get to that point, remember that nearly 85-90% of breast biopsies turn out to be benign. Clusters within larger breasted woman can be everyday, although a mammogram is the best path to determine cysts, sometimes clusters in the breasts don't other develop or show these results. If the cluster have cysts surrounded by them, they can be cancerous but the likelihood of that are reasonably slim, probably looking up on some breast cancer websites would be beneficial to support near the probability...otherwise allow your doctor to communicate you the results, trust your doctor more than others.
