IUD & Birth Control Pill at the same time... anyone ever heard of this?

i enjoy an IUD and my gyno also give me the pill today (i hold have my IUD for awhile, so its not as a pre-caution type thing) have anyone else ever hear of self on two birth controls at matching time? he told me merely to try it for a few months due to my iud cause cramping, a moment ago wondering if this have happen to anyone else

Maybe he desires to filch out your IUD as it cause you cramping but requests a undisruptive time for the transition? Usually you do not use two b/c methods at equal time. Or conceivably he desires to see if your cramping stops due to the brand new b/c pill? You can hang around a month and see if the cramping stopped, but for, travel hindmost to him and ask him to remove the IUD.
