Post-miscarriage symptoms? (Possible TMI)?

I have a spontaneous miscarriage this morning. I go to the emergency room and they perform a pelvic exam on me and consequently stated that I have what looked to be a complete miscarriage. I'm not positive that what they did following the pelvic exam be adjectives, so I inevitability to ask:

Is it adjectives for the doctors to hold to insert a catheter and distribute you for ultrasound? I'm sure it is, but the catheter be so terribly discomfited, and immediately, nearly 12 hours subsequently, it still hurts to urinate. I've be reading accounts of other womens' miscarriages, and I hold all the same to read anything in the region of a catheter.

First of adjectives, I am so sorry for your loss. It is a horrendous entity to experience and I am regretful that you have to be in motion through it.
In common, I am unsure why they would insert an catheter unless you be going underneath anesthesia to hinder the lower partly of your body or going to be contained to a hospital bed for an extended term. I do know (yes, miserably I own too much experience next to miscarriages, precipitate and late-term) that they entail to do an ultrasound to see what is going on beside your uterus, ovaries, etc., to variety sure you do not want a d&c or d&e and sometimes you are pregnant near multiples and they have need of to evaluate the situation further. Depends on how far along you are as to how much they can detail in need ultrasound.
One point is for sure, you should not be sore this long after the catheter have be removed. Once a properly inserted catheter is in place you shouldn't even spot it. They may hold scraped you up a bit, should hold it checked out. I hold have several and not have discomfort except for the placement and removal of the catheter. You should hail as your OB/GYN or your GP and agree to them know give or take a few it. If you can not realize them and the distress is severe, telephone call the ER and inform them that here is something wrong resulting from a catheter placed and removed by them and you are coming in to capture checked out.
Whatever you do, consult your GP or OB on the necessity of the catheter. You may enjoy wreak to not be charged for the procedure and equipment and reimbursed for any follow-up strictness you receive for the discomfort following the catheterization.
