Why does my blood pressure spike when I'm about to get my period?

Im 25 and i embezzle a dieturitic pill (prescribed by the doc) for HBP, and I become aware of lately next to any little bit of stress by blood pressure spikes. I also spot that my blood pressure seem to spike the time earlier and during my length. Could in that be a source for this?
