How long does a doctor have to send off a pap smear before it is consodered no good, or inaccurate?

I have my per annum pap smear done on Wednesday Dec. 13, and it took the doctors department until Monday the 18th, beofre they sent it past its sell-by date....5 days following! Now they influence my pap is phenomenal, which it have never be, and that I own uncharacteristic cell. Is it possible that the pap be no longer any flawless after sitting for 5 days? It scare me that it be "abnormal" results, and immediately I own to hold a colposcopy done Tuesday!! What do you adjectives regard? PLease individual serious answers.....this have made me upset adequate, I don't requirement unpleasant answers....a short time ago someone to effortlessness my mind.
