Considering using Today Sponge birth control, any thoughts?

I don't want to use hormonal birth control and am considering a obstruction method (ie. sponge, diaphagm, cervical cap). Does anyone own thoughts/experiences near these? Can you or your partner surface them? Does it interfere next to oral sex?
