Can anyone tell me something like endometrial ablation?

I am considering endometrial ablation as an alternative to birth control pills to alleviate extremely heavy and scratchy periods. I've be on the Pill for years, but now that I'm over 40 the potential for serious side effects worries me and I'm seeking an alternative. My relatives is complete, so I'm fine with the permanance of ablation.

I take in many women never bring their period after ablation, or if they do, it's markedly light. Do you still draw from PMS? I would expect so, since the ovaries are still intact. Does cramping disappear entirely? Anything else you can tell me to facilitate me make the most informed declaration?

Is it normal to not receive your period? Because I be missing My period for 3 months immediately?

Hi there...

I have an ablation done back surrounded by 12/04, for very heavy/problematic period. You are right in clich?? that some women don't have a term anymore afterwards, while some have lighter ones. I myself hold much lighter periods, and am moderately happy next to that. :)

You obviously know that an ablation ends person able to be pregnant again. If you do resolve to go near an ablation, my suggestion to you is to have the Essure procedure done at alike time as the endometrial ablation. Both the ablation and Essure are done via hysteroscopically, there is no adjectives involved. Essure is less invasive than a tubal ligation (in which nearby is an incision made).

Essure involves placing tiny coils into the fallopian tubes, causing defect tissue to build, therefore blocking the tubes... in consequence preventing pregnancy. For 3 months after this is done you must use a back-up form of bc, and then an HSG (hysterosalpingogram) is done to kind sure that the tubes are blocked. (That's the dye test.)

An endometrial ablation does not take rid of PMS. I wish it did... LOL. (I own severe PMDD... premenstrual dysphoric disorder.) But it's still helpful surrounded by that the periods are specifically much lighter... and, like you said, some women find themselves lucky adequate to have their period stop.

After the procedure(s) there is some bleeding and cramping, but not for too long. I feel the worst for me was the morning of surgery... and the next afternoon, the pain be very minimal, while the spotting go on for a bit longer, but not too long.

I wish you adjectives the best in your declaration making. I hope that this was informative ample for you. :)

Anny other women with an IUD own this.?

The effects would vary from soul to person, according to the network site I found up to 10% have like flow they always have, 90% have lighter period, with just about half stopping their term entirely. You would still have hormones, so some PMS symptoms could still develop. They said that younger women respond less to the procedure than elder women do, and may need to repeat the procedure.
Here's the interconnect I found for more info.:

Good luck with your result!

Safe sex with the bc patch?

I didn't enjoy a period for almost 2 years after my ablation, but it have come back immediately. you still get pms and I still bring cramping, but I hear some women don't get the cramping

salvage was straightforward except for the bleedng which lasted 6 weeks
