LADIES - Burn more calories during menstrual cycle?

A friend of mine said she works out overtime during her 'special time' because women burn more calories during then. I can't find anything that say whether or not that's true, but it sounds like it could be plausible, as the body heat up and works, but at the same time similar to a wives tale. What do you dream up?

Wives tale.. But.

Burning calories is a function of the even of exercise and the person's body shipment. If you work out and burn 3500 calories, you will lose the same amount of shipment no matter extent or none.

The "But" is twofold: 1) Any exercise is good for the body at any time of the month; and 2) exercising muscles during one's term *might* help stifle any cramping, since the body's muscles are being tensed and relaxed. It's category of the same as how an orgasm during one's term might also help relieve cramps, the blood that get congested moves around while exercising and you just touch better.

The above assumes, of course that near are no medical issues involved with the woman.
