i really wanna recarpet my room but i dont know how much it would cost me. My dad said that if i want to i would have to earnings! i dont mind that at all, i simply wanna know hoe much it would cost to get some plain white mat in my room. i abhorrence my light, girly, purple mat. about how much would it cost for regular white hearth rug and how much would it cost for hard wood floor for a 10' by 15' bedroom?

you will need roughly speaking 20 sq yrds assuming you want to do the closet also. Carpet runs the gamut on price and you also have to enjoy padding underneath. The price vary depending on quality and durability of the fiber it is made from. Same for laminate or hardwood floors which may or may not be scratch-resistant. Call around and find out what the prices are for your size room (don't forget the closet too). Remember to ask roughly speaking removing the old flooring, hauling it away and installation. In other words, don't return with a quote on just buying flooring! It will probably be a minimum of $500 and more approaching $1000
