Mirena IUD?

I've had mine for-going on 3 yrs come September.
My CNM inserted it and she didn't use anything but the IUD and it's applicator. Quick pinch and pressure, but be very bearable.
A relative be convinced with my nouns with the Mirena and needed to bring back off the pill due to migraines it be causing, as ably as brown spots on her face, so she have a Mirena IUD inserted.
Only her experience was exceedingly painful! She said her gyn also used some instrument similiar to a syringe, which she (her Gyn) claimed was for measure the uterus(she believes that is what cause the most pain, since the insertion of Mrena wasn't that bad)?!
My CNM didn't use anything approaching that. My relative has 2 kids and I enjoy three-could that be the reason why this 'instrument' be used on her and not me?
Has anyone experienced anything like that?

I had a Mirena coil fitted in the order of 3 months ago & they explained to me that this instrument was to weigh the size of the uterus, so yes it is normal practice. I own 3 older children of 17, 24 & 25, don't know if this make a difference. It was exceedingly painful have the coil fitted & needed prescribed painkillers for 4 days after due to bad cramping.

When they inserted mine it really really hurt too. Almost like I be in labor. I own one child.

How far can the cervix and uterus stretch when penetrated by a very long penis?

That be probably a sounding instrument to make sure her uterus be large adequate to fit the IUD. Of course, after two kids, you could fit a Volkswagon Beetle in in that. Sheesh.

Has anybody taken AZO yeast? was it important?

i had the mirena iud put within and I never had a child. I enjoy high blood pressure so i have to be taken off of birth control pills. My obgyn be first concerned because i have have a baby but unspoken because of my high blood pressure. he measured my uterus which hurt seriously!! My pain be so bad that I have to grip the sides of the table I was on. After ward I tried to get up and go to the waiting room and my blood pressure which was exceptionally high when I go in drooped down route fast and I almost passed out. hope this help
