Has any women used the Marina coil?

i was on the Marina coil for roughly a year and had some impossible side affects. Just wondering if it is common or not

I have one fitted for a year and had vile side effects. i bled for nearly the entire time i had it fitted. it does work, my mum have had one surrounded by for ages, but it wasn't for me.

I had a copper coil for 4 years and the together time had zilch but problems. Unlike the Marina, the copper coil does not have hormones however, my period were terrifically heavy (bleeding for 10 days heavy) and the rest of the month be just constant stomach ache and pains. Interestingly, I also started to suffer from IBS after it was fitted and never even know this existed before have the coil! (you know sometimes before your time of year you get a bit of an upset tummy - it be like that adjectives month). Anyway, I had it removed three weeks ago, IBS stopped instantly - I am contemplating the mini pill but want to see what a "normal" (i.e. short the coil) period is approaching before decide. They are for some people but not for everyone.

Oh my god, the coil from hell. I have to have it removed after 6 mths, I couldn't undergo it no more. it made me very extremely depressed, angry and irritable. the relief after have it removed was almost instant. i also get a nasty infection from it. I feel generally dreadful and push for anyone not to have it, ever..

i agree with the character above,the coil from hell it sure took me to hell and back,have it in for 4 months afterwards had to enjoy it removed left me next to an infection that has taken nearly 2 months to properly clear up choice i had never have it fitted,would not recommend it to anyone.

I went to Halfords for a Marina coil but they never have one in stock, they give me one for a Rover 25 and said that it was practicly exchangeable and would do the trick.
