Dysplasia?

i was told today that i hold dysplasia. my dr. said that she had already told me this, but i do not take back her ever mentioning this. she told me that it is now more mild than it once be about 6 months ago. she also mentioned something roughly an ascus? i'm not too sure what that is any. i was diagnosed near hpv also when i went and get this check up that apparently showed i have dysplasia. i would of late like some information more or less this, can anyone explain to me what the dysplasia and also what an ascus is? thanks.

Most laboratories contained by the United States use a standard set of terms call the Bethesda System to report test results. Under the Bethesda System, Pap theory test samples that enjoy no cell abnormalities are reported as "distrustful for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy." Samples with cell abnormality are divided into the following categories:

ASC—atypical squamous cell. Squamous cells are the light flat cells that form the surface of the cervix. The Bethesda System divides this category into two groups:

1.ASC–US—atypical squamous cell of undetermined significance. The squamous cells do not appear completely regular, but doctors are uncertain nearly what the cell changes show. Sometimes the changes are related to human papillomavirus (HPV) infection (see Question 13). ACS–US are considered mild abnormality.

ascus.. i dont know what that is. dysplasia is when the cell involved (in this case contained by your cervix) change into another type of cell that doesnt belong nearby. its a few steps away from cancer, so you'll have to do something more or less it. good luck.

ASCUS: An acronym for Atypical Squamous Cells of Undetermined Significance. This term is used in the Bethesda System for reporting Pap smear findings and indicates that some flat (squamous) cells look unusual and may or may not be pre-malignant or malignant. Of adjectives Pap tests beside an ASCUS reading, 90-95% are caused by benign conditions, chiefly infections. The remaining 5-10% prove to be precancer or cancer.

Dysplasia is when the cervix have abnormal cell. This was cause by HPV and/or ASCUS.

Was treatment discussed? This does have to be treated or it will verbs to grow and can turn to cancer.
