They are invaluable when you hold your child. She will just be getting to know you tomorrow. After you hold your child she will come and check their weight and increase and you will have to run and see her at the clinic. They are there to support you of sleep, feeding and weaning question and there to support you and take home sure you are ok. Check you are not depressed etc after the birth. Mainly a health caller is a highly trained nurse. They'll hold clinics where they method the baby and weigh the toddler. She'll also set up an appointment to check developmental checks (usually at 9 months and 18 months). She'll have an appointment to parley about weaning and how to know the signs a newborn is ready to wean. If you develope PostNatal Depression she'll be near to offer you different choices on getting oblige. Basically she will be someone who is a lot friendlier than a doctor, who you can give the name on if you have little problems. If she cant fiddle with it she'll have to refer you to the doctor, but theres profusely of things she can give direction on.
