Has anyone not nursing ever gotten a mastitis (breast) infection? How long do they take to obtain better? Arghhhh

Doc says after it clears up, mammogram as some breast cancer presents similar to this. Should i be freaking out yet?

I only get mastitis when I was nursing but fascinatingly enough two days after I come down with it my sister get diagnosed with mastitis and she be not nursing. It took her about 3 days on antibiotics to start hunch better and a week to feel apt. Her doctor didn't mention the mammogram so I'm not much help near that. This was 2 years ago and she hasn't have any problems. Sorry I'm only a short time bit of help. When I have mastitis I alternated a heating wipe and a bag of frozen peas on my chest and that help some.
