Two facts should be considered: 1) mid-parental plane and 2) current height percentile for age and menstrual status.

1) Method derived from the mid-parental rank (this assumes both parents and the child have conventional growth and development). There are several formulas available, but all afford similar results. Example:

Target height surrounded by cm for a boy = [(mother's height within cm + 13) + father's height surrounded by cm)]/2
