Excruiciating Period Pain...?

On the fist day of every length, I am in horrible dull pain. I have the usual abdominal cramps, but I also return with a fever and I recurrently vomit. My entire body aches and it is sometimes difficult to breathe. I enjoy had these symptoms since I started getting my time about 9 years ago. I asked my doctor nearly these symptoms and he said if I have other had these symptoms and they are not a unknown occurence then it is purely part of my cycle and at hand's nothing to do but sleep it past its sell-by date or take something for the backache. It's just not that natural. It interferes with my energy. I cannot go to work on the days I grasp my period. Has anyone else have menstrual symptoms with such severity? What did your doctor explain to you?

procure a second opinion. this could be fibroid tumors or endometriosis. birth control pills really give a hand with cramps also. you should not enjoy to suffer. find a doc who will listen to you.

Find a different Dr. There are medication that can help. My dr. tried different birth control pills. I would find nauseous from the dull pain and couldn't stand up straight. You don't have to a short time ago live with it.

My mother and a friend of mine both have experiences like that. My mom outgrew it and I'm not sure in the order of the friend (she's an ex-friend). I am pretty sure that it has something to do beside hormones and there are things your Dr can afford you to balance them out during that time. Maybe you should do some research online and next get a second view. No one should have to perceive that way every month..Good luck =0)

I used to have the exact same type of period, my doctors did a series of ultrasounds and it took awhile and alot more painful period but i was diagnosed w/ endometriosis. Ask him roughly speaking it, do some research yourself on it and see if it hits your symptoms.

You shouldn't have to live contained by pain every month!! I would definately obtain a second opinion. Also, birth control pills can be thoroughly helpful for pouring periods and endomitriosis. They could be an opportunity for you.

I don't know why your doctor told you that . . . my friend have this too and her doctor told her that birth control pills will take away the dull pain and make it more settle and not later so long.

I used to have severe menstrual symptoms such as the ones you describe. I don't know what caring of doctor you've been seeing, but in that is something you can do. Birth control pills work wonders, but you must take them for 3 months to see the positive effects. Also, you might have need of to go through several different types until you find the ones that are right for you. My gynecologist prescribed regular birth control pills for me that I pinch continuously. I skip the inactive week and fast start a new pack, so I never hold a period. Some doctors voice this is unsafe, but most gynecologists agree that it is. Birth control pills prevent you from ovulating and building the tissue that is self prepared for the fertilized egg. Therefore, when you bleed, you're not acutally having a concrete period, but simply withdrawl bleeding from the hormones. This prescription has changed my go. I no longer have to miss work or academy, nor do I have to lay within the bed for a week and a half while I loose most of the blood contained by my body. If I were you, I would see a gynecologist. If your current doctor that you are seeing is a gynecologist, see another one. You don't own to live like this. It's 2007. You own options.

yeah, i'm other in highest pain the first daylight or two too. apparently really bad cramps runs contained by my family. and it sucks. i also throw up the first light of day and get really shaky, within've only be a couple times where i haven't. for a while i thought i be just unsatisfactory and weak or something because i can't stand the cramps and none of my friends enjoy that problem. but the other day, my sister be saying how desperate her cramps were and my mom said her and her sister are resembling that. and their mom. and probably the women in her familial had that too. my aunt be the one who found out it was in reality a problem different from most women b/c she was at the gynecologist around that time. but it's not serious. it only hurts more than it does for most people. but yeah, i'm other shaky the first day and it make me sick to the stomach. i don't know about a disorientation, i feel similar to i get that too, but i've never in reality taken my temperature, so i don't know. i'm sorry you enjoy this terrible stomach-ache! sucks doesn't it? life's not generous :( and i hate that!

Sounds like your doc is too busy to listen. I would try birth control first, I get on them when I was 14, it help me so much, it regulated them and I went on to bring them for 10 years, very short period, very minimal cramping, know down to the day when I would start.
I enjoy very fruitless cramps now too, disappointingly I can no longer take the pill, I own high blood pressure.
