Why am I retaining so much fluid?

I went bad the nuva ring (birth control) 3 weeks ago and have be spotting and bleeding ever since. Colul this be why?
I drink a ton of water and sweat my past its sell-by date at the gym and yet I am still puffy and swollen!!

Do you have dignified blood pressure or does severe water retention run surrounded by your family? I do NOT own high blood pressure-it's practically perfect-but I hold always have water retention issues and it get worse after I had my son. I enjoy retained up to 25lbs even WITHOUT my period. I am on two prescription diuretics to try to backing this problem, and sometimes, those aren't that effective.
If it is cause you discomfort and especially if you have pitting edema(this is when you press down on your shin beside one finger and the dent stays for more than a few seconds), you do need to move about see your doctor/gyn to see if you, too, need a diuretic. Especially if drinking extra river or caffeine isn't helping.
