Seeking phamacology-based response in the order of cramping and birth control?

Let's say a feminine has be taking a particular 28-day, monophasic birth control correctly for at smallest three months (has given somewhat adaquate time for her body to adjust/to observe if it's a biddable "fit" for her)... and she continues to feel comparatively uncomfortable cramping the three weeks prior to her time of year. What would the prescriber list as possible culprits? Too much estrogen (ethinyl estradiol)? Too little progestrin horomone? Etc? Just trying to get hold of a general compassionate. thanks.
