I hold Mirena and I never really thought about it but how do they cart it out and does it hurt?

I know this sounds dumb but I never really stopped to think in the order of how they take Mirena out? I show I know how they insert it and what not but I never thought about how..Ive have it for over a year now and I love it!! Yes, I enjoy gained alittle consignment but any birth control can and it has almost taken away adjectives my periods...

Has anyone have it removed and how? I know its kinda uncomfortable when they put it contained by but does your skin grow back around it? That kinda creeps me out lol...Thank you again and I hope someone can be of help out! :)

It can and often is removed. Usually a local anesthetic is injected in the nouns to numb it, a small incisision is made and the device removed. Stitches are not usually necessary, only just keep the wound covered until heal.

The Mirena coil is the same as a standard coil exept it is impregnate with hormones to support with irregular and creamy periods.

They remove it by pulling on the removal cord.
