Has anyone with lupus have experience with HRT? Good, doomed to failure, indifferent?
I'm having my ovary out within a few weeks and will be faced next to the decision of starting HRT or not. From what I've read on the pattern opinions ebb and flow dramatically among the medical community. I am looking for opinons from those with personal experience. Were flares worse or not? If they be worse was it worth it to enjoy the hormones? All information is greatly appreciated.

I do not enjoy lupus but I am a long term user of HRT (20 years) as both my ovaries where on earth removed and the hot flashes were intolerable. You said only one ovary will be removed, so possibly the hot flashes and other symptoms will not be that severe. You will have to continue and see. Good luck.
