It hurts cause you're breaking some flesh by pushing it in. Best counsel I can give is try using a lubricant next to it.I personally would avoid using it if posible. There's other a risk of getting Toxic Shock Syndrome which is very serious, so unless you really stipulation it, don't use it. And don't leave it within for more than 4 hours.
try squating down and inserting them.
Also remember to relax.
Thats one of the big reason why it would hurt.
If that doesnt help.See your GYN for more lend a hand.

All i can right to be heard is get the skinniest ones you can find and bring back plastic applicators. The cardboard ones are painful when you enjoy not used them since. If it is too painful, conceivably you are not ready for them.I regard as every girl older than 16 have gone through what you are going through. Some girls don't recognize which means of access you are supposed to insert the tampon. If you think of your body, it is completely vertical. You enjoy to insert the tampon the way your body go. If you stand up and try to insert the tampon, you should insert it going vertically. If you are sitting down, you would have to insert it in a 45 scope angle. If it is not going in easily, try tilting it up more. Also, if your time isn't flowing heavy, taking out a tampon cause the pain you are hunch. Make sure your inserting the tampon during your menstrual cycle. Another reason for the stomach-ache is because you're young and you haven't gotten adapted to tampons however. Once you start using tampons regularly, they will become easier to apply and take out. Good luck!

If it's your first time, try the thinnest ones you can find, and wear a pad as capably because it won't hold everything. Find a comfortable position. The first time I used one, I put on leg on the toliet seat and the other on the floor. Point it towards your lower vertebrae, so it should be angled. If it's hurting while you're putting it in, DON'T PUSH IT IN FURTHER. Take it out and look for a different position. A lot of girls seem to hold problems putting them in. Try using a lubricant with it so it slides contained by easier.
Good luck though. Oh yeah, once you figure out how to do it, don't sleep within them. You can get TSS, which is uncommon, but very seriuos. Stick to pad at the nightly hours.
