Diflucan and nausea?

My dr. prescribed me Diflucan for a yeast infection. I took the 150 mg pill two nights ago and since consequently have have really bad nausea. How long will this verbs even though I'm not taking anymore pills? Also, any tips on preventing yeast infections? I never want one again!
