Does anyone know how long UTI take before symptoms go on?

I have an UTI right in a minute and it's my 4th in 3 years. I of late had one second month and the dr. thinks the ending one didn't clear up properly with the antibiotics. He put me on cipro again, but next to 500mg dose for 7 days instead. I'm just curious if anyone know how long it take for the infection to show symptoms, because i'm trying to figure out whether i'm getting it after i own sex or whether it's something else.

I used to acquire UTI's about 3-5 a year, and I could other connect them to sex because I would feel the burn inside 24 hours. I finally learned the #1 prevention...to stir pee immediately after sex, and presently I hardly ever achieve one.

Unfortunately, I have one right very soon ( it's been over a year) because I have sex Tuesday morning, and I fell back to sleep! I told my boyfriend to form me get up and stir no matter what from immediately on.

Its hard to read aloud because you can have an infection lacking any symptoms. It sounds like you should see a specialist (urologist) Good Luck!

As the previous poster said sometimes you can own a urinary tract infection and not even notice any symptoms. Because of how frequently you are have the urinary tract infections it sounds like you may be dealing next to a condition called Interstitial Cystitis. One of the symptoms of this condition is have symptoms of a UTI as well as have a UTI but not having it clear up.
