It's up to you and depends on your goals. Being on the pill is supposed to give a hand regulate your period, but for me it doesn't seem to be to work all that capably. For others it does. It has made my cramps A LOT better though. And at hand's always that sanctuary of knowing you can't get pregnant ... invaluable. Even if you're not sexually alive, you never know what could happen -- whether you want it to or not. I don't want to be denial, but there are things out of our control, and this is something that you can control. Just rather extra peace of mind.
And can I just point out that the answer above this one is an EXCELLENT selling point for the pill. You can forget a condom, etc. but if you're on the pill you won't conclusion up pregnant because you were dumb one dark. And the pill WILL NOT make it so that you can't enjoy children in the adjectives. It's been around for sixty years or so and no research have ever shown that.
