Mirena IUD birth control?

I had the mirena birth control IUD inserted hindmost on January 23rd of 2007 and I googled a question going on for side affects and came up near all kind of horror stories of wieght gain and numerous other things....how can I tell if I will gain wieght from this device? any back on this is appreciated.and also has anyone ever gotten pregnant on it up to that time? and if you did gain wieght how soon after it was inserted did you gain?

I have this IUC and I haven't gain any weight from it nor enjoy I had any visible/known side affects. I hold had it for just about 5 months now. The with the sole purpose thing I did hold was strapping bleeding the first month when it was put surrounded by. AItogether I bled for almost 2 months, but now when I hold my regular period it is outstandingly very street light and lasts more or less a day or two. I quality, after my own research & speaking with my doctor, this birth control is safer than the others, since it does not contain estrogen. Estrogen can make happen & has be known to do alot of side effects, from mild to severe! That is one of my reasons I considered necessary the Mirena. I have be on about 5 or 6 different bc pills within the past and have things from aching leg muscles, sharp chest pains, jittery, upset stomach, my cramps worsened, headache, and so on. With the Mirena, just the couple months bleeding! Which, considering what I have before, I didn't even mind it!! Just remember, at hand are side effects with adjectives medications! Also, every possible side effect have to be stated or the company could be sued. When something has a long detail of side effects, it does seem worrisome but they have to put them on in that even if only a few have the effect in their studies past placing any medication out on the market! Here is something you can do, formulate a list of a few catagories, one, the mirena iuc, the pill, the shot, etc and next under respectively, first do your research and list adjectives the possible side effects of each and the apt points they have too and consequently compare the lists! See which one you would be more comfortable beside after seeing the benefits & cons of each form of birth control. Also, I hold been have unprotected sex with my husband and we own no gotten pregnant on the Mirena. He doesn't pull out any. I know, TMI but I am trying to be as honest & helpful as I can. If you are concerned next to weight gain, devour as you normally would, work out as you did until that time, don't change any of your traditions and just weigh yourself a few times a month and see if here is a dramatic increase in your weight. I'm not wise saying this is true for everyone or every birth control pill, but when I was on the pill I put on 40some pounds!! Hope this help you out some!! Mirena is a great birth control. I have have it for almost a year now short any problems. I have a history of immensity gain on other birth controls, but I have not have any problems with that this time. In certainty, I am losing weight.
