It is quite possibly an STD, which she wants to get checked. Some STDs can incentive infertility if untreated, or other permanent problems.

Without insurance, she should at most minuscule go to a clinic for a pelvic exam (perhaps Planned Parenthood) and catch that checked out. Hopefully it is something that can be easily treated.
