Please give a hand with ASCUS exam results?
Okay, so I have have my 3rd abnormal pap. After the 2nd one, I have a colposcopy done & it still came wager on as ASCUS. I was told it wasn't HPV, but if the subsequent PAP was remarkable, I have to own Cryotherapy. So I "failed" the 3rd & now hold a cryotherapy appt scheduled for the 23rd. I hold been researching this on the 'web for the past 3 hours, & can't find any info on ASCUS, glum for HPV. Everything I have found connects it to HPV, but I don't own that. I found 1 medical journal that mentioned my situation, but it didn't dispense much info. Has anyone else had this evolve? I'm not looking forward to the procedure, but my dr wants to carry rid of the abnormal cell because they could be pre-cancerous? or could this just be an infection? Please back!
