Ultrasound...What can I expect?

I feel silly asking this, but I've never have an ultrasound. Can anyone explain a little bit how it works?

Will it require me to strip with nothing on?

Feeling flat, bored, p*d - off and knackered?

What type of u/s are you have? For all u/s studies, the nouns to be examined must be free of clothes, in order to put a gel on the skin. For a pelvic, abdominal or OB u/s, we accomplish this by pulling up a shirt and bringing pant down just a bit (you are still modestly covered by your clothing). Make sure you are wearing a two piece outfit, to some extent than a dress. For a breast u/s, you put a gown on before the exam. Usually, for a thyroid u/s, I hold my patients put on a gown, unless the shirt is really low cut. The gel does not stain clothing, but it does feel drizzly and gooey on your clothes. For a venous study of the legs, we also have you put on a gown so we can see the vessel from the very top of the leg (near the groin), down to astern the knee.

U/s is painless. It requires moving a transducer (camera), which is held by the u/s technologist, over your skin in the nouns of interest. You will feel no niggle or discomfort from the procedure. Best to you..

28 days cycle is it 14 days starting from your period or when finish?

i had an ultrasound not long, on my abdomen. adjectives they had me do be pull my shirt up to my bra and they put this thaw out gel on me and used the wand thing and pressed really not easy on my stomach...it hurt me because i was have pain but if you arent surrounded by much pain it won't hurt.

What do i do?

Are you getting an ultrasound for pregnancy? Or for something else?

My experience for pregnancy have been you merely lift up your shirt and expose your belly...

But if its for something else after they will probably have you wear one of those rag open front gowns, and you wouldn't own to take your pant completely off.

To catch a good explaination of how an ultrasound works...call round this website.

Other than that, the jelly they use feels funny, at most minuscule to me! Its not something thats painful by any funds...
