Do I have to lurk to restart taking birth control?

I go off of birth control (NuvaRing) several months ago. I own not gotten my period since. (I hold always be quite irregular when not on BC) I am NOT pregnant.
My interrogate is:
Do I have to loaf until AFTER I get a extent to start using birth control again (NuvaRing)? Or can I start back up presently (before having gotten a period)?
Does it take home a difference? Will it 'mess my body up' starting it now?
