My 11 year frail duaghter is getting a tetnues shot and i cant come here down can you tell here how it feel?

Ok I'm a phlebotomist.. lucky you.. I draw blood on a on a daily basis basis so I use needles. Your daughter is 11 you said? They will not need a big needle for this shot. (Gauge/ size) Every merciful that I have ever have does not like needles. One channel to calm her down is to show her that it will not be highly painful. Basically it feel like a prompt bee sting. More of a pinch. I'm sure you have have a needle stuck surrounded by you at least once contained by your life so try to share near her what your experiences have be. If they were awful.. falsehood a little lol don't let somebody know her any horror stories. We aren't all bleak with needles you know. its individual tetnues shot. whats the problem? just speak about your daughter to get over it.Its like any shot that you acquire over quick. It does hurt; the area around the shot get hard and greatly tender. Poor girl. Maybe an ice pack? some tylenol? And give an account her she doesn't have to attain another one for ten years!!
Just look away from the needle, close your eyes, breathe surrounded by and out, and maybe you can ask the nurse/doctor to count 3, 2, 1 so you know when it will travel in. Just verbs to keep your eyes shut, look away, breathe and beforehand you know it it will be over! It's just for a moment pick. No biggie. I'm afraid of needles and I had no problem. They used to hold to strap me down! It's not bad. It's hurried.
Tell her to relax. Any shot is scarey to a child, but it will only hurt for a moment. My daughter have one last year and handle it like a champ. Be at hand to hold her hand and report her to squeeze as tight as she wants.

OUCH I had one a few weeks ago. It feel like I get punched in the arm for almost a week.As I recall, it stings resembling any other injection when you first get it. Then the injection site will be aware of bruised or achey for a couple of days. It's uncomfortable, but not horrible.

actually its not the hypodermic that hurts, its the medicine that they are putting in the body, it stings a bit, later later the arm is for a time sore and stiff like after working out. report to her to move her arm alot after the shot. it really isn't that bad
