Mammogram give somebody the third degree?
I had a mammogram done two days ago, I be sent there from my doctor bc we found a lump surrounded by my breast. I am only 20. I go in, they did the mammogram. My insurance individual covers what my doctor refers also, and after the mammogram they said they wanted to telephone call over and reccomend I get an ultrasound on it also. I did. Well, afterwards after it, they just said okay your done, you can progress now. I thought I would bring results, a good or a discouraging. I asked, um So do I get the results from my doctor? and, she said yes, thats how it usually works. If its impossible dont they usually tell u right in that, they can tell u results cants they? also, do i dally for my doctor to call me, do i call for and make an appt? how long do i linger?

The mammogram usually take 10 days to two weeks for a full assessment. A specially trained technician will look at your films and contrast them to your ultrasound results. If anything is amiss, you will definitely hear vertebrae from someone.
Just to be safe however, if you don't hear from anyone by, vote, the 19th, contact your doctor and ask about the results. Chances are, most places (my doctor's department included) takes the no-news-is-good-news stance on things.
Good luck.
The radiologist read the film, and consequently sends a report to your doctor. If it was two days ago, later your doctor should have the results. Call the doctor's department, and tell them you want your doctor to telephone call you with the results.
Is it ok if your length doesn't come around the time you normally take but comes 6 days later?
You never carry the results right then - unless it's really discouraging news. Your films are within line at the back others to be read by the radiologist, who will then distribute a report to your doctor. Typically, you don't even need to call for unless they tell you to, you usually draw from something in the mail aphorism "you're okay" or "call for an appt".A mammogram can take up to 2 weeks to gain the results back. If they sent you for an ultrasound as resourcefully, they may wait to bestow you results until they compare the 2 tests to be sure. They could also be trying to want if they want to do a biopsy as well. You can telephone call tro check on the status but the doctor will call you near results. Sometimes they get back up with call to make and question paper results coming in, especially a specialty office, so you calling for results can in fact make that jump faster if they get them pay for. Just think positive, it could simply be a benign tumor or cyst that only just need drained or removed. Good luck!
