If a female at age 50 has three period in one month span : is this middle-of-the-road or is it a helath problem?

it's not normal, usually by age 50 the period are getting further apart. i'm not sure if it's anything to worry more or less though. i'd say to provide your obgyn a call and see if she wishes you to come in or not.
