They hold suggested to their physician about the possibility of the girl undergo hysterectomy "just to be safe" as within preventing the girl from being exploited by strangers and possibly getting pregnant.

It would be a tough call. It would adjectives depend on the situation & how disabled the girl is. Yes, it is good to prepare her to protect herself & be in the protection of caretaker.
However, I would have her get hold of a tubal ligation.

Absolutely not, the girl requests to be taught right from wrong and how to feel situations. Making her sterile is just a ridiculous solution. Since she is 18 she can craft her own decision nearly a permanent life-altering operation.

I think it's a appalling tragedy when the parents decide for their daughter her reproductive rights. Although she most potential could never have children, exclusion those rights because of her disability, even a mental disability, is not appropriate in ANY situation.

By giving her a hysterectomy, they are denying her rights as a woman to reproduce. She is, even disabled, a woman.

I wouldn't judge that she would have to necessarily own to undergo a hysterectomy. Why not attain a tubal ligation? It is much, much less invasive & alot smaller quantity less bleeding than a hysterectomy.

It's wrong to do that. If the girl agreed, it would be one thing. Even putting her on birth control would be a better pick.

It really is a tough entry to have to judge about. I am the mother of an almost 9 year dated mentally handicapped child...she has the mental dimensions of a 12-18 month old. In my own bearing I think it's cruel to tamper next to nature (and God) and hold someone permanently "altered", however my child and others resembling her have no talent to say no or to scuffle or to even understand what's arranged if someone were to cart advantage of them. My daughter will probably live beside me for the rest of my life but it is still impossible to be next to your child 24/7. I mean she attends special ed university what if someone there took dominance, or someone in a medical setting did it. This have happened already just this minute with a 10 year outdated girl. The parents had her breast tissue removed and a hysterectomy done on her. It also have made the girl remain small and not grow anymore. At first I had a problem beside it but when I read more on it I can understand the pretext behind adjectives of this. It is easier to take exactness of them if they are disabled and it cuts down on possible sexual abuse by caregivers. i mull over it depends on how severely disabled she is. the girl on the news be never going to even be able to step or move, and would always hold the brain of a newborn. could not even feed herself or hold her boss up. as horrible as it sounds i think it be ok in that circumstance, its extreme but think the frustration of a period. but thats besides the point.

it sounds close to this girl is not THAT disabled. and i disagree with the individual that first posted, saying to lately teach her right from wrong. let say someone is autistic or have downs syndrome...it would be very difficult to only just teach that description of social awareness for someone that wouldnt necessarily understand the concept. birth control pills would do the trick also, but later theres making her take the pills everyday. i wouldnt pinch away her ability to conceive because she sounds relatively high-functioning, and might know how to have one within the future, next to the support and help from her home of course. so within this circumstance, no, i wouldnt agree with it.

She will still NOT be safe even beside an hysterectomy. She can still get AIDS and other STDs.

The best answer is coaching the girl. A child CAN be taught in the region of how to handle strangers, SO CAN SHE. I own seen disabled teen girls learn right from wrong.

Her parents should be sterilized themselves for even thinking of such an thought.

That is a little intense. If they are that concerned in that is birth control or surgical sterilization... tying of the tubes. Hysterectomies are drastic in a young woman and would bring many other kind of health issues for her to contend near. I would think it be very dishonourable.
