How speedy does CKD usually progress? (Kidney Disease)?

My wife is 23 and just told she have stage 3 CKD (chronic kidney disease). How fast does this stuff progress? Are we looking at dialasis subsequent year? Two years from now? Do we requirement to get a second and third view from different doctors or do the BUN, creatinin, and a GFR in the 30's pretty much sum it up? I know some doc's are just out to catch money and our doctor fits that bill in my judgment, but from the research I've been doing this diagnosis seem pretty cut and dry. Anyone had any experience next to this young of a entity and CKD? I'm gussing pregnancy is pretty difficult/impossible?

By the way, the doc who give us this diagnosis gave us a packet on CKD, a packet on what to devour, and told her to "excercise and eat this diet" and kicked her out the door within 30 minutes. We had 3 previous visit with this guy and he be always greatly brief and cold. Should we see someone else and is there any providence that his diagnosis is wrong?

Also she had a sonogram and MRI... both be clear.

Can Amoxicillin be taken while pregnant?

My daughter is 21 and her kidneys failed 3 years ago, so she begin dialysis, and has very soon had a transplant. It vary in down time for the kidneys to completely give out. The 24 hour urine cleance experiment is the best measure of kidney function, have she had that question paper? Many women go on to hold healthy pregnancies, but she desires to stay as healthy as possible. There are lots of kidney and dialysis patients that can support answer this question at http://www.ihatedialysis.com - stir to the forum and post a question - it's a really great group of empire with experience and understanding to share! Depo Shot Question?

Hi, I'm 36 years behind the times (female) and have have chronic kidney disease since I was 15. When I be diagnosed I was deeply sick (high temp. & extremely high blood pressure). They tried to fight it near Prednisone but said I would end up on dialysis anyway. So at 17 I did start dialysis. I have dialysis for 3 years until my transplant when I was 20.
Anyway, since after I've had 2 boys (age 9 & 12 now).
Now I'll share my belief of your situation. I've always be told they wouldn't resort to dialysis until my GFR was smaller number than 15. How's her creatnine? Mine averages about 2.2 (not just what the doctor ordered but it works for me).
I think your wife have awhile before dialysis. Does she have a feeling OK? How is her blood pressure? I think you should see a nephrologist
and a moment ago take it as it comes. God Bless you both. Please touch free to contact me anytime with question or concerns. :o)
