The Mirena IUD. Has anyone had one start to fall out?

I'm sorry to be grafic but I was checking for the strings and I'm sure that it is protruding from my cervix. Has anyone have this problem? Can I wait to see the dr? My daughter have an appointment 1hr away tomorrow morning so I can't consult my dr until tomorrow afternoon.

Also, I had it put surrounded by the beginning of Oct 06. About 7 weeks after my 4th child be born. I am still bleeding 3-3 1/2 out of 4 weeks, some of it heavily. Is this normal?

Just curious:?

Get it checked out. It is possible that the IUD perforate your uterus or fell out of place, especially since it be inserted *relatively) shortly after giving birth. If either have happen the probability of getting pregnant increases so use a condom if you have sex until you see your doctor. As for the bleeding, it is majority but ask your doctor about your concerns.

Reason For Dropped Uterus?

I own not had a Mirena but I hold had another typ of IUD that worked its passageway out.
I did notice that over a few weeks the strings be getting longer however I let it a moment ago sit there.
I after fell pregnant (she is now 21!)
So, if you are not sure clutch further contraceptive procautions until it is checked out.

How many relatives wake up surrounded by the morning looking beautiful?

Never have it fall out. I've have mine for 5 years. The first two I was paranoid roughly speaking it, I'd check everyday and whatnot. The strings will feel longer on some days compared to others because how relaxed your muscles are. The strings are supposed to be feel, but if you feel them much further down than usual, resembling almost to the opening, next see your obgyn immediately.

The bleeding is mundane. I bled heavily for the first month and a half. After that, within was another month of spotting. After that I be blood free for the next 4 years beside neglible spotting inbetween. I don't even know when I'm on my period unless I hold a pimple or I am really wanting to murder someone for some chocolate.
